Home / About EPHC: Priority Projects / Roles and Responsibilities / Performance Measures for Heritage Conservation

The State of Victoria chairs the group developing heritage conservation performance measures.

Previous work done in this field has been reviewed and fine-tuned. A format for performance measures has been developed, and a consultation strategy is being finalised.

A package including the format, some preliminary performance measures, outcomes and sample performance indicators will be circulated for comment by relevant stakeholders, and then further refined.

It is expected that this stage will be completed by the end of 2002. A set of draft performance measures and an initial testing plan will be submitted to Council for consideration at its first meeting in 2003. Development of detailed measures, initial trials of measures in one or two jurisdictions, followed by testing in all jurisdictions, should continue through 2003.
